The Application of Laminated Glass in the Van Gogh Museum

The new entrance of the Van Gogh Museum opened in 2015. Laminated glass has been widely adopted in its construction, which is mainly reflected in the following aspects:
Glass Roof: To ensure the load-bearing capacity of the glass, the glass beams of the dome are made of 3-layer 15mm ultra-white tempered heat-soaked SGP laminated glass produced by Luoyang NorthGlass. The longest single piece reaches 12 meters, and its strength is five times that of concrete of the same thickness.
Glass Curved Wall: The glass curved wall is composed of cold-bent double-layer insulated glass, with a total wall area of 650 square meters. It adopts 20 unique laminated glass mullions, and the tallest one measures 9.4 meters in height.
Glass Staircase: The glass staircase is made of three-layer laminated glass. It can not only bear the heavy loads of the staircase but also has considerable stability. Meanwhile, the use of steel structures and components is minimized, making it exist like a piece of transparent furniture.Laminated Glass Laminated Glass2 Laminated Glass3 Laminated Glass4 Laminated Glass5
